Audrey and Cameron officially joined our family on April 4th, 2023. Audrey was born first at 1:11pm and Cameron came out one minute after her via a scheduled c-section. Audrey weighed 6lb 8oz and was 19.5″ long and Cameron came in at 6lb 4oz and 19″ long. They are both sweet as sugar and have been a joy to get to know over the last couple weeks as we’ve settled into our new normal as a family of 5.
About Their Names
Choosing a name for your child is not a small task, let alone having to choose 2 at one time! We had talked through so many names before landing on Audrey and Cameron. We kept vetoing each other’s ideas, so these were the only 2 left standing that we both agreed on and loved. Audrey’s middle name is Katelyn, after my sister. Cameron’s middle name is Miller, which is a family name on Mike’s side. Their first names don’t have any significance beyond that we both really liked them!
How Liam’s Doing
Liam has been so sweet with the babies. He was so excited to meet them and “pet them”, which is what he asked to do as soon as we brought them inside from the car ride home from the hospital. He intently looked over them, marveled at their little movements, and giggled when they unintentionally kicked or poked him. He will randomly go over to them and give them kisses on the forehead or their arms or bellies, which is so sweet. His whole world has been turned upside down, but he’s been handling it pretty well. Mike and I have been very intentional about spending one-on-one time with him everyday and keeping things as normal as possible for him, which is helping. Overall, I’ve been so proud of how he has handled this change and can’t wait to see him continue to grow as a big brother!
How I’m Doing
My recovery from my c-section has been great, honestly. The first couple days home were more difficult since I couldn’t move quickly or fluidly and was still quite sore. But every day has gotten better and better and I’m feeling really good for how short of a time has passed since they were born.
Overall, we’re just trying to enjoy this fleeting time of having 2 tiny newborns because we know how quickly it will go by.
Congratulations! I have been reading your blog for years and have followed this pregnancy with excitement for you. Your two babies are beautiful. What a joyous blessing! May God bring all good things to your family of 5.

Hi Lauren, I just read Meet Our Twins. I am so happy that you’ve all had a smooth transition so far from a family of three to one of five. Congratulations again on the arrival of Audrey and Cameron and best wishes for everything that is to come.
