Books I’ve Read and Loved, Part Six

A fresh roundup of some of the books I’ve read recently that I’ve enjoyed.

Beach Read by Emily Henry

The title of this is exactly what I’d recommend this for – lounging by a pool or on the beach. It’s light, easy to read, and a “feel good” story. I liked the two main characters and found myself rooting for them the whole time, which is what I like in a book. I enjoyed it!

The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth

This one was a bit twisty and turny. It kept my attention, though took me a few chapters to really get into it.

Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewell

As you can see by my rating, I didn’t love this one. It was just okay. I didn’t necessarily love any of the characters, so it was hard to not have someone to root for.

Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica

Loved this one! It was suspenseful and gripping – I found myself excited to read it every night.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I had really high expectations for this one after seeing a lot of people rave about it. While I liked it, I think my expectations were a little too high. It was interesting, but I didn’t find myself anxious to get in bed every night to be able to continue reading it.
