We are this close to Thanksgiving week, gals! Despite the fact that I decorate for Christmas early, I love the Thanksgiving holiday and don’t “skip over it”. It’s a special time to get together as family and share a meal together. More than that, for me, it’s a really good pause in the middle of the busiest season of the year. Even if just for a day, I get to take a break from working (I hope you do, too!), turn my brain off, and just enjoy my time with the people I love without stress!
We will be spending Thanksgiving with Mike’s side of the family this year. We try to switch off Thanksgiving and Christmas every year to “keep it fair”, since we don’t all live in the same town to be able to see everyone on every holiday. It’s been awhile since we’ve all been together, so it will be nice to be under one roof for a couple days celebrating together!
I will definitely be dressed very casually this year, though that’s not much different than years past. I used to get more dressed up when I was younger, but I now know the value of a stretchy waistband for Thanksgiving dinner! If you’re not sure what to wear, here are a few ideas:
