I recently did a closet edit, clearing out anything from the past spring/summer seasons that I don’t find myself wearing anymore. I have some staple pieces that I’ll keep to wear year after year, but I had a good amount of trendy items that I was willing to part with. I typically shop for pretty classic/timeless styles, but I do like buying into some of the trends each season. For this summer, I’m loving all the pastel and softer color palette, the high-waisted shorts and pants, and the delicate floral prints.
When it comes to shopping items that are on the trendy side, I usually stick to affordable stores, like Walmart. I want to try the trends and wear them for the season, but then feel okay about parting with the items once the season is over, if I want to. My favorite brands are: Time & Tru for closet staples, Free Assembly for elevated basics, and Scoop for trendy pieces (at a great price!). You can also do a one-stop-shop on their Summer Essentials collection, which has everything from basics to trendy pieces.
Here are a few things from Walmart that I’m loving for summer:
one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine
Have you taken to any of the trends this summer? Which is your favorite?
Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
