Big coffee cheers to the last Friday before Christmas! And an even bigger cheers to the fact that I think I’m officially done with my gift shopping. This is the latest I’ve finished shopping, but I’m giving myself a break since it’s also my first Christmas as a mom!
Today marks my last official work day for Elisabeth Ashlie for 2020! I always take a good chunk of time off between Christmas and the beginning of January, to give myself a break after the craze of the holiday shopping season and to help reset for the new year. It’s a welcomed reprieve from the busy-ness that is Q4. If you shopped with Elisabeth Ashlie this year, thank you! I so, so appreciate the support. It means the world to me to be able to do something that I love and I’m very proud of the business that I’ve built. I wouldn’t be able to do it without my customers, of course! If you’ve been one of them, thank you! I’ve got a couple blog posts going up over the next bit of time, too, but will also be taking a little time off to enjoy with family. Having businesses in retail and social media means that it can be very hard to set boundaries and put work away. This year, more than ever, though I know the importance of taking care of myself and spending quality time with loved ones. I’m looking forward to soaking up our first Christmas as a family of three!
Mike and I recently watched Murder on Middle Beach on HBO and oh. my. goodness. We loved it! I thought it was well-made and it kept our interest the entire time. Coming off the disappointment of The Undoing, I was happy to have something that we both looked forward to watching! I’m also so anxious to hear any updates on the case and am crossing my fingers for a follow-up episode or season.
If you’re a fellow Aerie fan, this pullover sherpa is ah-mazing. So soft and cozy without being too warm. It’s a dream! It arrived earlier this week and is already in the dirty clothes pile with how much I’ve worth it.
Are you setting any New Years resolutions this year? I’m not big into resolutions, but I do like setting some intentions for the coming year. Things I hope to accomplish or implement in my life. Between Christmas and New Years, I also try to reflect back on the previous year, making note of what worked well and what could be improved upon. 2020 was such an intense year, both for our little family and on a world scale. There’s a lot to digest and process through from this year!
Have a great weekend!
