Are you feeling the effects of winter weather on your skin yet? I’ve definitely noticed my skin to feel drier and look a bit more dull over the past couple of weeks. With cold, dry weather and traveling, it’s been exposed to a few different elements and is in need of some extra TLC lately. One of my favorite skincare brands, Colleen Rothschild, has a few products that I’ve been using to help moisturize, brighter, and revitalize my face. If you’re dealing with similar issues and looking for products, keep reading! (And take advantage of the sale – details at the end of the post!)
A few things you can do to revitalize winter skin:
Use a Brightening Mask
The first product that I’ve been using is the Turmeric & Neem Oil Brightening Mask. When I first opened the jar, the smell of turmeric and spices hit me and I was intrigued to give it a try. I applied an even, fairly thin layer all over my face and let it sit and do it’s thing for about 10 minutes. I rinsed it off and my skin felt nicely hydrated and like that top layer of gunk was cleared off. I’ve used it a couple times since and always love how my face feels after rinsing off.

Use a Beauty Water or Hydrating Spray throughout the Day
Another new product I’ve been using this winter is the Beauty Water. I love a setting spray for when I’ve finished applying my makeup or just want to give my skin a quick boost, so I wasn’t surprised to find that I really like the Colleen Rothschild version. I’ll spray it on before applying my makeup, after application, after cleaning my makeup off at night, or just in the middle of the day when my makeup has worn a bit and needs a brightening boost. It’s like a cool drink of water for my skin and I love how it feels going on.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Not only your body (make sure you’re drinking plenty of water!), but also your skin! Be sure to be using your moisturizer everyday, morning and night, and giving your skin an extra moisture boost with a more intense hydrating cream or mask regularly. I love the Extreme Recovery Cream for particularly dry spots/days. If you prefer a mask to a cream, the Intense Hydrating Mask doesn’t disappoint. It’s super concentrated, so it delivers a big boost of moisture without weighing your skin down.
