Thanksgiving Day Outfit Ideas

Can you even believe that Thanksgiving is next week? October felt like it lasted three months and now we’re suddenly over halfway through November. It’s crazy! In case you’re struggling with what to wear to Thanksgiving dinner this year, I thought I would put together five outfits to inspire you! I’ve got a couple dressed up options and a couple more casual looks. Both Mike’s and my family are very casual, so I’ll probably wear leggings and a sweater, making sure I’ve got plenty of room for the bump to expand as I indulge in all the delicious food that day.

Comfortable with a Touch of Glam

I think this outfit is my favorite of the bunch because it involves two things I love: leggings and pointed toe flats. Pointed toe flats instantly elevate and outfit, even an outfit made of leggings and a soft cardigan! I may wear some iteration of this for the day, probably swapping the pretty camisole for a basic tee because #comfortisking

All Black with a Pop of Color

Another classic go-to for me is to wear an all-black outfit. It’s slimming, chic, and can’t be messed up. Plus, it allows you to be able to have some fun with your makeup and accessories, which I love to do! You could easily swap the leggings for jeans and do a flat or a black bootie with this look.

Outerwear Indoors

For a more casual option, you could do a simple button-up shirt with a vest and some warm boots. Obviously, if you’re trudging through snow, you’ll want to remove your boots when you get to your destination, but I like the idea of having a sort of “outerwear” theme to an outfit. You could easily swap the boots for black booties or plain sneakers, too.

A Pop of Leopard

Since leopard has been so big this season, why not wear on Thanksgiving day, too?! I love the look of the bold print on the skirt with the simple black sweater and booties. It’s simple and chic. The bonus is that there’s room for the belly to expand a bit after hours of eating!

Jeans and a Sweatshirt

If you’re keeping it casual, why not add a little punch of a festive color? It would be cute to pair a red lip with this too, although make sure it’s a longwear lipstick because eating and red lips could be a disaster. Adding a simple pair of sneakers or booties will round out this outfit nicely!
