It’s no secret that I’m excited for the fall season to arrive. Not only is it my favorite kind of weather to dress for, but it also means we get that sweet spot of time where we can still wear our favorite summer trends, but in fall colors. Each season brings along different trends. While I don’t always love the new “hit” style, I usually will latch onto a thing or two! This summer, I loved the popularity of sweater tanks and the more destructed denim. As I’m thinking ahead to the next season and the pieces that I want to be wearing, those two styles are definitely coming with me!
In order to start acclimating to the fall season and color palette, I wanted to find a way to style a sweater tank for the next several weeks. I already had this pair of destructed denim from Walmart and love them for a very budget-friendly, more trendy item. I was browsing the Walmart Fashion selection and was impressed with all the styles and color options they have for the season! I came across this sweater tank and instantly added it to my cart. As I continued browsing, I found these leopard-print booties and knew they would be a great pairing for the tank. By the way, I placed my Walmart Fashion order online and had everything delivered within the week – I was so pleased!
Back to these booties, let’s give them their due moment in the spotlight. At just under $50, they’re a no-brainer if you’ve been wanting to try out the leopard trend but don’t want to break the bank! I love the block heel and that they have a pointed toe to elongate the leg. They’re cute styled like this with jeans and a sweater tank, with leggings and an oversized sweater (when it gets colder!), or with black skinnies and a pretty camisole for date night.
In case you’re in-between seasons like I am, I thought it would be helpful to share how to combine the two seasons together. With an outfit like this, I can start transitioning my closet over to richer, warmer colors for the fall, while still dressing weather-appropriate (since it’s still in the 80’s here!). Even though it’s warm enough for sandals, my heart is set on wearing close-toed shoes, so I’ll put together any outfit that allows me to do so! Pairing booties with a sweater tank is a good compromise.
Another favorite trendy thing from this summer was the lace-trimmed camisoles that were everywhere. An easy way to transition those into the next season is by 1) opting for darker, richer colors, and 2) pairing with a fall-colored jacket, cardigan, or wrap.

Another sponsered Walmart post? This is starting to seem disingenuous.
