Something In The Water by Catherine Steadman
I would actually file this one under, “books I read and loved…until the ending”. I was very intrigued for much of this one, but was pretty disappointed by the ending of it. It felt like a reach and not really in line with the rest of the story.
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
I had read and heard great things about this one, so I had pretty high expectations going into it. It felt like forever before I really got into the book, but didn’t want to quit since it had such good reviews. I’ll say, I’m glad that I got through it and was definitely satisfied with the ending, but it was a slow one for me. If you’ve already started and aren’t sure if you want to finish, I would say to stick with it – it pays off!
Someone We Know by Shari Lapena
I’ve loved every other book I’ve read of hers, so I knew this one would be no different. She’s one of the few others that I can just fly through – I finished this one in three days! I loved the flow of the book and being kept in the dark about “whodunnit” pretty much the whole time.
Find Her (A D.D. Warren and Flora Dane Novel) by Lisa Gardner
This is one of a series, which I didn’t realize until after I started reading it! I’m only about a third of the way into this one, but it’s another quick read for me. I’m hoping that I like the ending and the overall book because then I have a bunch more by the same author to read!
