I feel like with each item that I include in this series, I keep saying that it’s one of the most versatile things you can have in your closet. That’s definitely true today! A striped top is a classic that everyone can wear and, in my opinion, should have in their wardrobe. It’s a great way to add interest to an outfit without introducing color or a very busy pattern. You can do multi-colored stripes, wider stripes, pinstripes…whatever your favorite kind is! I recently found these high-neck tanks and have been buying them every time I see another color at the store. They’re great for layering, tucking into high-waisted shorts and skirts, or pairing with an athleisure outfit. Note on the sizing, they run small, since they’re quite fitted. I’m usually between an XS/S in tops and buy these tanks in a M.
Casual Chic
What I love about a striped top is that it can instantly refine an outfit and make it look more intentional. For a casual breakfast run on Saturday morning or just running errands through the week, I would pair this tank with some cotton shorts, an oversized denim jacket and fun accessories! The fitted tank gives me shape, while the boyfriend-fit jacket lends to the relaxed feel of the overall outfit. I added a pop of red with the bag (feeling very Parisian with the stripes and red, haha!) and a fun layered necklace to finish it off.

Date Night
For a date night or more dressed up option, I grabbed my favorite pair of white denim and some nude wedges for an easy look! I love that a simple outfit that complements your shape can do all the talking for you – you don’t need to over-accessorize or add a ton of elements to create a good outfit. Wearing something you feel good in will lend to your confidence, which is what will ultimately make or break an outfit!

Weekend Wear
This one turned out to be my favorite of the options. I paired my cutoff denim shorts with a pop of color in the field jacket. Then, to soften what is a bold look in the stripes, I opted for blush pink for my bag and mules. I added a couple of gold necklaces to finish it off. This is a very me outfit – casual but pulled together.

My sister styled a striped tee three ways, too! We didn’t talk about or show each other how we were doing it, but, in true fashion, we put together two outfits that are pretty similar! I love that she added a leopard belt to her white denim option – now I need to go buy one.
love these looks! do you feel the need to wear a strapless bra with this tank? I can’t decide if the straps would show with a regular bra!
XO Lo
I do wear a strapless, but you may be able to get away with regular if it’s cut in a bit.
