Shop Your Closet: Grey Tee

Arguably, the most common closet staple is a simple tee! For me, it’s a grey v-neck, although I don’t discriminate too much when it comes to a t-shirt. It’s an obvious choice for a very simple, no thought necessary outfit. Throw one on with a pair of jeans and sneakers and you’re done. But, a grey tee is also a great option for more dressed up or refined outfits. Below are just a few ways that I wear a grey tee.

Casual Chic

This is an iteration of the most common way that I wear a grey tee – paired with jeans or denim shorts. To elevate the look a bit, I like to pair it with pointed toe flats or even some platform espadrilles. If I’m needing a top layer, I’ll add a field jacket or a duster like this. Simple and easy!

Date Night

Full disclosure, I don’t look like this for our date nights! But if you like to dress things up a bit for a night out, this is a great option. Pairing a casual tee with something more fancy is a fun way to mix things up and still feel like yourself (if you’re most comfortable in a tee, like me).

Weekend Wear

Another fun way to wear a simple tee would be to use it as a base layer for a more interesting outfit. Paired with white denim and a military vest, it’s the perfect option! I added nude shoes and a bag to round the whole look out. I would wear this on a date night, meeting up with friends, or heading out to brunch.
