Hello! I’m currently sitting at the kitchen counter in my mom and dad’s house in South Carolina, enjoying a little solitude and quiet. It was a bit of a whirlwind of a weekend, so it’s nice to be sitting alone for a bit while Mike sleeps in!
In case you missed it, my sister and I hosted a shopping event/meet-and-greet at Madewell in Raleigh on Sunday and it was SO FUN. We had the chance to meet and chat with a bunch of local (and some non-locals that just so happened to be in town that weekend!) blog readers and Instagram followers and it was awesome! It’s so nice to put a face and an actual person to the supportive and wonderful people we have following along with our lives.
Because I cannot resist that store, I walked out with a new pair of denim (my sister got them, too!) and this really cute top. They had a bunch of their Spring clothing out already – a lot of great options!
So, we spent the weekend with my sister’s family, going to that event and getting to spend some good time with my nephews and niece. Then we drove further South to my parents’ home yesterday for a few days. Mike has “spring break” from grad school, so we were actually able to take advantage of traveling! We’ve both got some work to do while we’re here, but it’s nice to relocate to a warmer climate for a couple of days.
We don’t have many plans while we’re here – we’re considering a stop in Charleston on our way back home later this week. We both love Charleston and it’s been a couple years since we’ve been!
I’m looking forward to a couple days of relaxing with him before getting back into the swing of life next week.
P.S. If you’re starting to shop for Spring, I’ve got a Spring Shopping Guide comin’ at you tomorrow!
So bummed I missed this – I was actually in that area (my parents live in Apex!) but not on the same day as the event!
The meet and greet was so fun! I’m so glad that my vacation coordinated with that event! You guys are both so nice and friendly 🙂
That’s very kind! I’m glad it worked out, too! So nice to meet you!
