Coffee Conversations

Good morning and happy last Friday of February! That’s wild, right? January felt like it took forever to get through, and now we’re basically through the second month of the year already. Our plan this weekend is to watch the last couple Oscar-nominated Best Picture movies we want to see. Even though I want A Star Is Born to win everything, the show is more interesting when I’ve seen at least a few of the other films that are nominated a lot!

I needed a few things from Sephora this week and then I got to browsing the site and ended up ordering a couple of new-to-me products that I’m excited to try! My sister has been raving about this foundation, so I’m going to give it a shot! I’ve been seeing this lipstick floating around the Instagram world and it looks so pretty, so I wanted to try it for myself, too! I’ll be sure to share my thoughts after I’ve been able to use them for a little while.

I shared this tee in black on Instagram yesterday and went ahead and ordered the pink last night! It will be great for Spring/Summer.

I’ve got another podcast recommendation for you: American Scandal. There are currently 4 seasons, each about 5-6 episodes long. They take you through some of the infamous scandals in recent history, like the Exxon oil spill in Alaska and the Iran Contra story from the 80’s. I like it because the story-telling is interesting and I’m learning a lot about these events in history.

We’re just about to start our kitchen update/reno that we have planned and I am SO excited! We’re doing countertops, backsplash, lighting, hardware, new sink, and possibly painting the cabinets. It’s going to be a big project, but I’m excited for it to get started. I’m trying to figure out the best way to take you along through the entire process with us, so stay tuned for that!

Have you seen the new curated boxes at Elisabeth Ashlie? We’ve added the following: Just Because Box (perfect to treat yourself or a loved one), Hostess Box, Just Married Box, and the Self-Love Box (my favorite!).

Have a great weekend!

We went to see A Star Is Born just a couple of weeks ago, and wow did it blow me away! Now I’m considering of staying up for the Oscars just because of that movie! The live show airs here in Finland, Europe from 3am onwards 😁 I have next week off from word, otherwise I wouldn’t think of it 😊

Another great podcast I just started: The Dropout. It’s the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes the founder of Theranos. Good stuff.

Hey Lauren! I also love seeing and finding new makeup products to try, but I don’t have a Sephora close to me, so ordering online is the best option for me! Any tips on how to correctly color match if you order foundation or concealer online?

    Have a great weekend 🙂

Make sure you have a good grasp on your coloring! They also have a “color picker” you can use.
