If you follow me on Instagram and watched my Stories this week, you know that I’m finally feeling “on top” of my work for the first time in WEEKS! It’s a great feeling to be caught up and have a bit of stress off my shoulders. I’m a bit of a workhorse – I have a hard time fully and completely unplugging from work – but I’m going to make a very conscious effort to do so over the holidays. For now, I’m just enjoying being able to end the workday feeling like I’ve made serious progress.
Mike finished up finals and his semester last night! I’m so proud of him! He gets a really nice chunk of time off now, so I’m looking forward to being able to do some fun things when we’re both on break.

I received this cookbook for my birthday and finally flipped through it the other night. Oh. My. There are some incredible looking recipes in there! I’m hoping to use it this weekend! I have her first cookbook and really like it, so if you like good food that’s not too difficult to make, I recommend either book!
We don’t yet have many plans for the weekend, other than finishing up Christmas shopping — there’s just a few more things I’d like to get and then I’ll be completely done. I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner.
