We’re on our last full day of vacation with our friends in South Carolina and I’m bummed! When the whole idea of this trip came up, I loved the sound of it but wasn’t sure that it would actually happen. We somehow managed to get 10 adults + 2 babies to commit to a 6-day trip to my parents’ home over the 4th of July weekend! Oh, and did I mention that we only came into this group in JANUARY?! Mike and I have been blessed by the Lord with a wonderful group of people in Virginia that we can do life with, and now we know that we can travel with them, too 😉
We’ve been pretty busy while we’ve been here, which has made it very easy to unplug from everything else. I haven’t thought much about work and I’ve barely spent time aimlessly scrolling my phone. It’s been so nice to have a break from the regular routine!
A couple of the girls and I made some time to pop over to the outlet mall for a little shopping during the holiday sales and I picked up this pair of short overalls. It took me a minute to get on board with the revival of this trend, but I’m safely in the, “short overalls advocate” camp now! I picked up this dress, which is the perfect “throw on and go” option. I got the striped version, but am tempted by another color, too!
This swimsuit (shown above) has proven to be a real winner! I ordered one size up and the tall version for the perfect fit.
I’ve been using my Kindle to read at the pool and before bed and really like it. I’m working my way through The Wife Between Us and am enjoying it, thus far.
Just wanted to give a little update, since I’ve been quiet here and on Instagram the last few days.
Have you read the 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo yet? I can't recall if it was you or in one of the comments after you made a few book suggestions. I just finished last night and LOVED. Definitely recommend if you haven't. Love your book posts, your style and your blog!! Happy Monday
