I don’t often suffer from the Sunday Scaries. I’m usually ready for a purpose and to tackle a to-do list come Monday morning. Plus, I just really love my job, so I don’t feel much dread when I think about it. That being said, I still like to take advantage of my Sunday and prepare for the workweek ahead. Whether you don’t really love your job or you usually get burnt out by Thursday, here are five things you can do on Sunday to help prep you for the workweek ahead:
FIND AN ACTIVITIY THAT RELAXES YOU AND DO IT
Yoga, running, binge-watching a TV show, or soaking in a tub. Whatever the activity, set aside time on your Sunday to do it. Being relaxed (which can usually lead to feeling happy) going into a Monday morning will do wonders for your workweek.
MEAL PREP
Admittedly, I’m still really bad at this. But when I do take the time to think through lunches and dinners for the week, I’m always happy that I did. Working from home, I eat nearly every meal here. Occasionally, I’ll plan to order delivery for one dinner during the week, but almost always have breakfast and lunch at home. I really don’t like waking up Monday morning knowing that the first thing I have to do is go to the grocery store because I don’t have any food left, so I try my best to plan ahead. This takes off a lot of stress come Monday evening, when I’m hungry for dinner. That’s one less thing you need to think about on your first day back after the weekend!

GIVE YOUR SKIN SOME TLC
One of my favorite things to do on Sunday evening is my Sunday Skincare routine. I love taking some time to prep my skin (and hair!) for the week ahead. This is my favorite face mask right now. I typically go makeup-free a few days a week, but usually wear makeup on the weekend, so my skin is in need of a little extra love by Sunday evening.
THINK THROUGH YOUR OUTFITS FOR THE WEEK
If you’re reaaaaally type A like me, this won’t even be a surprising suggestion. When I was in middle school, I used to lay out my entire outfit on the floor the night before. Like, in the shape of a human. It was dorky and funny, but was also the only way that I would leave on time in the morning. Even to this day, I could change my outfit 5 times before actually getting out of the house. Which is ridiculous because I usually end up wearing about 7% of the items in my closet anyway. If you’re like me, take a little time on Sunday evening to think through what your week is going to look like, so that you can cut down on your time getting ready each morning.

SET GOALS AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK
My week is always more productive when I have a to-do list nearby. I’m a list-maker, through and through. I’ll write things on my list that are already complete just so I can cross them off. I like to sit down with my planner (I love this style) and a notepad on Sunday afternoon and get a good idea for what my week will look like. I write in which days I want to go to the gym, important deadlines, appointments, and anything else I need to do that week.
Working from home can be a bit isolating, so I like to plan a dinner or activity with a girlfriend as often as possible. It forces me to get out of the house and it’s always nice to have something fun to look forward to midweek!
