i love a good transitional dress. one that wears well from season to season, and from day to night. With September literally around the corner, I’m craving Autumn clothes like nobody’s business. I’m ready to pack away the shorts and light dresses and layer my outfits again – because, let’s be honest, layering is the best part of Fall and Winter.
Every season, I feel like I have a slightly modified style. It’s sometimes influenced by what is trending at the time, but mostly has to do with what I feel looks best on my body at that time. I’ve been really drawn to sleek looks, but also love a boho-inspired (picture Anthropologie) outfit, too. I’ve always liked slightly unusual pairs, like a dress with sneakers.
I keep many of my same clothes from season to season, but there are the inevitable few that have been hanging around too long. It’s not quite time to pull them out yet, but I’m looking forward to a little change in my closet and being able to add some new looks. I’m thinking a simple grey dress is something I could use, as it can be worn any which way and still look good. Dressed down with sneakers and a bomber for day, or fancied up a bit with chunky heels and a structured bag for night – you can’t go wrong!
