Friday Edit, No.11

a slightly different take on coffee this morning, but GIMME. recipe here.

Happy Friday morning, to ya! This week went by like lightning speed, so it really feels like a Tuesday or Wednesday morning to me. Mike and I drive up to Door County in Wisconsin tomorrow morning, so I’ve been looking forward to that all week. Also, I just found out that there is a restaurant with a grass roof with LIVE GOATS GRAZING ON THE ROOF. I was looking forward to exploring the area with him, but now all I care about is seeing these goats. We won’t have a whole lot of time up there, but we will try to make the most of it and see what we can on Sunday!
I’m aware that I’m probably not telling you anything new, but did you know that you can typically find Essie and OPI nail polishes at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx? It dawned on my yesterday that there may be someone out there that doesn’t know, so I thought it worth sharing. OPI polishes are typically $3.99 at those stores, so you better believe I snatch them up when I see them. Sometimes the color selection is lame, but I was returning something to Marshall’s yesterday and saw that they just restocked the area, so I snatched three great colors! It’s such a good deal, especially if you were going to pay retail for them, anyway.

I’m itching, itching, for a new Fall bag. I’ve found a few that I really like, so now the trouble is picking which of those options would be best. I try to get something that isn’t like anything else that I already own, but my eye goes to the same colors, shapes, designers, so it’s been a process.

I made an angel food cake the other day with this Whipped Nutella Frosting and, oh my lawwwwwd, it is so good. Like, lick the bowl clean, oops there’s none left for the cake, good. I’ll just say it now – you are welcome.

Have a great weekend!

I found a fantastic cognac tote bag at the Coach outlet last month…marked down to $99 from $350 and it's just so simple and gorgeous. Definitely check the outlets!

Hey I'm from Door County! Hope you got to eat at Al's, the Swedish pancakes are to die for. Wilson's ice cream parlor in Ephraim is not far from there and totally adorable/delicious too – I saw this post too late, dang it. Hope you enjoyed it!!
