More accurately, this should be titled, Coffee Ice Cream Conversations, but who really cares?
Well, HEY! It’s been a minute. Or really, like a week. I was traveling for the latter half of last week and then I’ve been in the midst of catching up on work and caring for a sick cat. So, here we are.
I’m so excited for the 4th of July this weekend. I don’t know what it is about this holiday, but I just love it. Mike and I are heading up to my family’s lakehouse with a couple friends, so we’re looking forward to a little getaway from the city and enjoying lake life for a couple days. But also, how is it July TOMORROW?
Poor Otis is a little sick. I have him on antibiotics and am hoping that does the trick, but it’s sort of a waiting game right now. It’s so hard with pets because they obviously can’t tell you exactly how they feel, so I’m constantly checking on him and hoping that I’m reading his body language correctly. He’s been the same old snuggly dude that he usually is, so I’m hopeful that he isn’t too bothered.
One of my favorite things about having my own business(es) is having complete freedom when it comes to website design, branding, etc. I love that aspect, maybe more than any other part. I’ve been doing some updates to both Elisabeth Ashlie and The Dearly Box and am loving how they’re coming together.
I picked up this lipstick when I was with my sister last weekend and love it. It’s a beautiful sheer pink that adds just the right amount of color without feeling like I’m too glammed up. (Color is Obsessed)
I shared this top yesterday on Instagram (@the_laurenelizabeth) and want to wear it everyday.
Seeing this makes me so ready for fall weather so I can wear layers again!

Gorgeous rug! Sorry to hear Otis is sick. We've been dealing with a sick cat for nearly two months and he's FINALLY better. I just think he needed some extra TLC with the arrival of a new baby on the scene. No clue how it's July TOMORROW, but I'm excited for the fourth and all the festivities. Happy long weekend to you 🙂
Sending big hugs to Otis. My dog was ill last week and i just wanted to bundle her up in blankets! Until you have pets you can't truly understand how attached you get. Always love your coffee convo posts 🙂
PS: Respect for eating ice-cream when it's cold and rainy, that's the summer-loving attitude to have!

I hope that Otis feels better soon. It is really difficult with pets. My baby girl, Chandler, got her tail broken a couple of weeks ago (I shut the door while she was trying to sneak by). She's doing better now but it was horrible, I felt SO bad for her.

I read about Otis through your sisters blog. I'm so very, very,sorry. I have a cat named Tuscany. We are best friends and I can't imagine what you are going thru. I know it may seem silly to some but pets are family. I'm praying for you. Tuscany and I wish Otis a pleasant journey over the Rainbow Bridge and we are wishing you happy days.
