i’m a firm believer in pattern mixing. mostly because i’m a firm believer in having fun with your clothes. also, when you allow yourself to wear things like polka dots and stripes together, it creates a lot more options for outfits without requiring you to do any shopping. although, let’s be honest, i still go shopping more than i should.
when i received this polka dot from The Chic Orchid, i originally figured i’d just pair it with jeans, or maybe leggings, and call it a day. i was standing in my closet the other day, trying to think of something different and this skirt immediately caught my eye. i put it on and knew that it was the perfect combination. i realize some of you will probably disagree (that’s the beauty of personal style! it’s personal.), however, i love it.
